Oh, how i do love critisizing you! Hehehe im joking. I just love looking at your amazing art. Firstly, the anatomy is a little off. It looks like he's just sort of faceplanted the water and is now floating down. A little more arm movement gives the inmpression that he would be trying. The bubbles are amazing. Texture would be good too. If you imagine him sleek, you could give a little more sheen to the body. If he is more furry, than the fur should be resisting the water flow, and floating around. I hope you enjoy this, and use it well. Keep drawing!
Hi there, Rea~! This is my first time critiquing you, and I may be a bit blunt, but please don't let that take away that I think this is fabulous.
Let's get started~!
First off, anatomy. Although Vaporeon is a fictional character, the head looks too far stretched up to me, and it looks really stiff and painful. Try putting it down a little? The chest looks a little thick compared to the belly, but that may just be perspective. The face is also a little off-center to me. Otherwise, I thing the anatomy is fantastic.
Next, coloring. I'm very impressed with the background! I would have seen a little more contrast and a bit more texture, but I love the overall, hand painted feel of it. The shading with Vaporeon, though, I have a bit of a bone to pick. The shading seems overall really light for being under the sea, as well as there's hardly any contrast between light and dark. I can hardly tell where the shadows are, and it just looks too bright. I do love how you've shaded the spikes though, but you didn't make any shadows in between them and that kind of puts me off. I would have loved to see more details in the eyes as well c:
The bubbles were nicely done. They look fantastic. The only thing i have to say is maybe add some smaller ones in there as well, but that's just a small nitpick.
Vaporeon looks accurate, and this overall is a very cute piece. With a little more detail and some darker shadows, it could be fantastic~!
Thank you for your time, and please continue drawing!
